Description
There's no need to buy a heavy-duty router to make your own doors. Because of their smaller diameter, vertical panel raising bits require less horsepower and can be run at higher speeds than their horizontal counterparts. A vertical bit takes a much smaller "bite" out of the stock so your router won't get bogged down in the middle of a cut. We offer vertical panel raising bits with 1/2" & 1/4” shanks. Choose the larger shank diameter if your router collet will accept it.
This cove vertical panel raiser has a 1-5/8" cutting height and a 1-1/8" large diameter. The shank is 1/4" in diameter. Take care not to push this bit too hard, make multiple passes and insert the shank at least 80% into the collet.
